Why Yoga?

Hi! I'm Clare. Welcome to Yoga! If you're new to yoga and haven’t yet felt all it’s wonderful effects here are just a few of many reasons to start a yoga practice:

All my classes are accessible and fun for my regular students as well as for complete newbies. You will find a great support network from not only myself, but the other students too. We have all been beginners and once you have committed to classes over the weeks you will wished you had started sooner

New to yoga?

Not sure what you will need to bring or wear?

Please make sure you fill out the registration form prior to class

All you need is:
  • comfortable clothing to exercise in
  • water
  • Yoga mat ( I have ones to borrow for your first class)
  • a jumper/sweater and socks for relaxation at the end

When: Wednesday morning Hatha yoga, Friday morning flow yoga
Time:  9.30-10.30am

Clare's Yoga Journey

I’m a yoga alliance certified yoga teacher in the Cheshire area. Yoga is my passion and I feel blessed to be able to share and teach this wonderful life-changing practice. I have been practicing yoga for over 20 years. My first interest in yoga was Bikram Yoga and all I wanted was to get flexible and lose weight! My practice has evolved over the years, and after learning the ancient philosophy, I have realised “it’s not about touching your toes it’s about what you learn on the way down there’’ (jigar gor). As a yoga teacher, I’m also a student, constantly learning new techniques, yoga philosophy and anatomy which I love to share with all my students, helping them to create a calmer mindset in today’s constantly changing world. In the past I have taught yoga to families, primary school children and their teachers, also in yoga studios teaching adults restorative and yoga flow.

Yoga Classes

You can find my yoga classes right in the heart of Cheadle Hulme, two mornings a week. I love sharing this lifelong passion with my students, and everyone is welcome! We are not balancing on our heads each week (although I’m happy to teach you if you want), the aim is to be able to learn how to move mindfully and listen to your body. The classes are inclusive, and you can enjoy being part of a wonderful community with the other students and me.

I have been attending Clare's classes since last year. They are brilliant. Clare is a lovely teacher, giving us different options for poses according to ability. The hour is well structured and most important to me, challenging. I always come away feeling positive even if I've not quite achieved the pose. The group is friendly and supportive. I have been to other yoga classes in the past but love Clare’s classes. I highly recommend yoga with Clare, whether you are a beginner or not.
